My Story

Hello! My name is Yolanda, aka Pip.

Before anything, I’m a proud mom of four beautiful, talented, smart, funny, incredible… well, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious kids who all LOVE Disney just as much as I do.

You might say our passion for all things Disney really took off when I first planned my own trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in 1991. Since then, I’ve been on countless Disney vacations and helped plan countless more for friends and family. Some highlights include:

  • Honeymoon at WDW - stayed at Grand Floridian Resort

  • Trip for 16 to celebrate two family birthdays at WDW - stayed at an All-Star Resort

  • 25th Anniversary in Hawaii at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa

  • Graduation trip for two families on Disney Cruise Line (Disney Dream) to Bahamas + Castaway Cay

  • Trip to Disneyland and greater Southern California area

In 2013, I decided to put my skills to even better use! After taking several specialized training courses, I became an independent travel agent, specializing in Disney Destinations.

Now, after 8 years and over 100 booked vacations, I’ve started my own travel agency, Pip’s Travel! I’m so excited to use my expertise to help plan the most memorable vacations for you and your family/friends!

Certifications

I am certified and trained by the College of Disney Knowledge, Cruise Lines International Association, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Hollywood Resort, and Marriott Hotels, giving me up-to-date expertise and allowing me to provide top notch service for all Disney destinations, Universal, cruise line vacations, and more.

More About Me

Where did the name “Pip” come from?

It was a nice September day back in 1990. I, for whatever reason, liked putting my long hair to one side in a ponytail. Perhaps to get it off my face and perhaps to have it at the opposite side of my backpack. I was on line to get a hamburger for lunch in between classes, when a boy I had met in my Statistics class started talking to me. He introduced me to everyone he knew as Pippi, because, as he held my hair to the one side, said, “If you had two ponytails, you could be Pippi Longstocking.” And so throughout college, my nickname was Pippi, and then shortened to Pip. The name has stuck to this day since one of those people he had introduced me to became my husband. 😊
